The perfect fabric for our baby's Baseball nursery.
You see, I knew I wanted to do his nursery in a baseball theme, but anything that I could find was cheesy and not what I wanted. So I decided to make my own. I'm probably crazy....its quite a big project to take on for someone as new to sewing as myself. But I've got a great sewing mentor that will hold my hand every step of the way.
This friend/mentor found this fabric for me and I fell in love. She even pulled some strings and took me to the distributor so that I could get swatches because it hasn't even been made yet and doesn't come out until August! While I may be cutting it a little close to when I'm going to have this bebe, at least I can get started painting and accessorizing now that I have the exact colors to match.
Visualize with me...The big stars is going to be the crib bumper, with the stripes as the binding/piping on top.
The dark and light blue dots/stripes is going to be the crib skirt.
I'll buy red sheets to match and use the other fabrics for the quilt and other random accessories like curtains, basket liners, etc. I'm going to applique a baseball and glove on the quilt (well, my friend is), and I already have some baseball accessories to incorporate as well. I'm getting really excited....its all starting to come together how I had envisioned it!! I'll post updates as the progress continues!
Side note...I had my first baby shower last night and it was a blast! I'm just waiting on pictures from my sis and then I'll post about that! We got spoiled and feel so loved!

I am LOVING it! That is the color scheme I am going for with baby #2. It is going to be absolutely adorable! I love mixing up prints, and I can't wait to see the end result!!

Ew. I hated everything I saw for Ava when I was pregnant with her. Since I am not at all crafty, I had to fork out big bucks to get something I liked. I hate all the lame characters and cartoon-y things out there.
Baseball will be so cute! I love the different prints, so everything will have different dimension to it. So fun. You have a huge start on me. My main concern right now is finding new furniture for Ava's new room so the crib and dresser and rocking chair she is using right now can stay in that room. She is in no way ready for a big bed, so I am going to be having two cribs in my house. Yup. Two. What do you do?
