Party for a pretty awesome 3 yr old

I felt like a bad mom when the week before his birthday I had not one thing planned for his birthday. I wanted to send out cute invitations, have elaborate decorations, feed all of our family/friends, etc, etc. However, this just isn't realistic with how busy my life is right now. So I settled (a little reluctantly) for cake and ice cream at the splash park with a few friends and family. Aaand, it couldn't have been more perfect. Beck (and all the kids) had a ball and he couldn't have been more thrilled for his pink birthday cake (his only request). Lesson learned- simple can be better. Happy birthday to our favorite 3 year old!

Park city 2012

We had another great vacation up in Park City this year. Due to the expanding numbers in our family, my parents generously booked two additional hotel rooms for us and for Mike and Ali. It was wonderful to be able to have our own space at night and for naps. Kids definitely make trips more interesting :) We did all the usual things- swimming, alpine slide, and Rocky Mountain chocolate runs- and had a blast. Beck turned into a little fish and could have spent all day, everyday in the pool. 

Another Tri

Trav rocked another triathlon this summer. I love that he is already instilling in our children the importance of being active. Just look at how excited Beck was to cheer on his Daddy.
