Wedding Pictures

I finally decided it was time to post some of our wedding pictures, its only been 6 months! There's quite a few, I kind of got carried away! I absolutely loved our wedding! Thanks to the help of many family and friends, it was seriously perfect! For those of you that don't know, we got married September 15, 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple and our reception was in my aunt's backyard in Alpine. I had always wanted to have my reception outside and due to my aunt's graciousness, I really had my dream wedding.

The past few weeks...

Life for me has been pretty crazy the past few weeks.....my poor husband wondered if he still had a wife a couple of times! So this afternoon, we got all ready for church, drove up there and realized it must have been stake conference because there was not another car in the parking lot! We were in St. George last week so we must have missed the memo about stake conference. So what's a girl to do now with all this extra time....yep, that's right, update the blog!

Ali went to Sweetheart's last night, her first formal dance. My parents were gracious enough to let their whole group come to our house and have dinner. Travis helped with the cooking and I did Ali's hair. She looked so pretty and so old! I'm still having issues with her being little in my mind :)

Valentine's Day was great! I came home to a beautifully set table with gorgeous roses and candles! My awesome husband is an amazing cook and made me a delicious dinner! The menu consisted of pork loin rolled in Pancheta and Rosemary, grilled asparagus wrapped in proschutto and sprinkled with parmesan cheese, mashed potatoes, rolls, and for dessert...chocolate strawberry shortcake, my favorite! It really was gormet and delectible! He even made an itunes playlist with romantic music! How cute is he....thanks Trav for making my Valentine's day so special!!
(the top picture is the beautiful roses he got me and our table all set....I almost forgot to add it and when I did, it put it at the very top and I don't know how to move it :)

Trip to Ikea

We recently got a computer (thanks again Dad!!), and needed a desk to house it. So for Valentine's Day, we decided that we would get each other a desk! I know you're probably thinking "how romantic", but it was something that we needed and wanted so I was completely fine with it. We ventured to Ikea in search of this desk along with Travis' mom and sister and her boys. I was actually kind of surprised when Travis suggested we go....of course I didnt' question it...hello, my husband just asked me if I wanted to go to Ikea! We (when I say "we" I mean the girls) had fun strolling through the store and shopping, and Travis and his nephew Jace had a blast playing all through the store. It all started with them going from game station to game station (props to whoever came up with that....little game stations periodically throughout the store for the impatient children....genious!). Jace absolutely loved those. He kept on asking for the games. Then when we got to the children's area, they found a tent to pretend to sleep in (there's a picture below). And finally when it came time to get all our purchases at the end, Travis had to find some way to appease the now screaming Jace (because there were no more games), so they took turns pushing each other on the carts! It was so cute, especially watching Jace try to push "Uncle Buddy!" We left with a great desk along with a couple other things...seriously I could spend so much money in that place!

Weekend in St. George

Last weekend we went down to St. George to visit Travis' sister and her husband, Marisa and Ryan. They had their twins on Christmas Day, and we (or maybe just I) were dying to see them. They are so adorable and we had fun being down there, especially since the weather was 60 all weekend! I must say that I have a new appreciation for Rissa (and all mothers of multiples). I don't know how she does it....of course they are totally worth it, but they pretty much are up most of the night, if it's not one, its the other. Travis' parents came down also, and his mom and I kept the babies out with us both nights so that Rissa and Ryan could get at least two nights of much needed sleep. All I can say is that while it didn't deter me at all from wanting kids...I am definitely going to cherish my sleep until we do have kids. I loved getting to spend so much time with them, there is nothing like holding a precious newborn....even if it is at 4 a.m!

I was taking a nap and Chance woke up from his nap and wanted some attention, so Travis got him up and this is what I awoke to. Chance completely content on Travis' chest, Travis using the bobby as a pillow with Chance's binky in his mouth. So cute!!

This is Chance Ryan. He is such a calm sweet baby!

I thought this was so cute...Logan is holding Chance's hand while they sleep!

On Sunday, it was such a beautiful day that we took them out for a little walk. So this is them all bundled up. I didn't post the other pictures...but two seconds later Logan was screaming bloody murder :) She wasn't a big fan of the photo shoot.

Snow Day!

So this is what we woke up to this morning.....a couple feet of snow! I couldn't believe how much it had snowed. We got a call from a member of the bishopric at like 9 a.m. saying that church was canceled. A snow day from church?? Does that even happen....apparently it does. I'm not going to lie...we were both so excited! Don't get me wrong...church is great and I love it...but I was thrilled at the thought of beng able to just chill and do whatever we wanted all day! It was so nice. Especially since the last week was pretty crazy for both of us and I feel like I barely saw Travis.

So Travis, being the awesome husband he is, spent the next hour or two shoveling our snow off our driveway. When he was done we had embankments of snow on either sides of our driveway well over 5 feet! You can see in one of the pictures that the snow is up to his knees.....and I've got a pretty tall husband! Pretty crazy..but fun nonetheless!
