Nursery...finally

My baby's baseball haven is finally done (well except I still have to put his newborn pic in the big white frame on the shelf). I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. It was a long time in making but thanks to my talented associations (my pro-quilter coworker, sister-in-law who is a fabulous artist, and wonderful mother who made the curtains) it turned out perfect!

I may be biased...

But honestly, have you ever seen a cuter baby??

2 years and a baby later...

And I am more in love than ever with this guy!

It was our 2 year anniversary on Tuesday (yea, I'm a little slow). Thanks to my parents, we got to our first evening out sans baby! We went to a delicious little middle eastern restaurant called Mazza...good food, quaint ambiance, and of course quality time with my husband.

I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man. He makes me laugh all the time, is always putting my needs before his, and shows his love for me constantly. He's perfect for me and I love spending every day with him by my side.

Chunky Monkey

Today the little man is two weeks old. I'm not even going to go into how fast it's gone. This sweet little boy has been a pure joy. He is such a calm, content baby. He only cries when he's hungry. He's sleeping like a champ, usually only getting up twice to eat and then will go right back to sleep. He's eating like a champ, which is evident by his two week stats:
Height- still at 21 1/2 inches (66%) ; Weight- 7.7 lbs up from birth of 6.11!! (16%). Long and skinny little fart.

We're realizing more and more everyday how lucky we are to have such a sweet baby. He is making the transition into parenthood so much easier for us!

(Even though he's gaining weight like a champ, he still doesn't fit into any of his newborn clothes! They all drown him. Hopefully soon we'll be seeing some rolls on those little arms and legs!)

Melts my heart

Oh man. I knew that Travis was going to be an incredible dad, but what I didnt' know was how much my love for him would grow while watching him embrace fatherhood. I'm amazed at how natural it seems to be for him. He's not scared of changing Beck's diapers, changing his tiny clothes, or knowing how to put him to sleep at night. He has slipped into his role ever so easily, and I am more in love with him everyday.
