We've struggled a bit with the name game...we have thrown out hundreds of names for our little guy and haven't been able to agree on any! We had 3 names we both liked if it would have been a girl, but boys names have been so much harder. Travis actually suggested the name I have been in love with from the start, but then of course doesn't like it now...go figure. I wasn't a big fan of the name Travis wanted, so we had kind of settled on a "2nd best" name that we both at least liked.
But I didn't really want to settle.
Well that was until Travis presented his "Deal of the Century" (as he referred to it) to me. The terms are as follows:
I get my name now, if he can have his name for our next boy.
Done and Done. We shook hands and now this baby has a name!
Beck Charlie
I LOVE his name...so much that I can even handle the other end of the deal...that is, IF we have another boy :)
And now I don't feel bad about Travis just giving in and letting me have my way, because he gets his too!

LOVE it!!! So cute! Boys names are way harder for us too. We have a few but CANNOT decide. Oh the troubles of the name game!
We made that same deal. I know its too late but guys or at least my husband tortured me with ideas of naming our child Wilfred or Heber. That is how I ended up with two Lukes under one roof, I promised him he could have full naming rights over that baby.

I really like the name Beck. Very cute. And it's okay to compromise... I have some friends who had twins. She named the girl and he named the boy, and neither of them are huge fans of the names they chose. Funny. Congrats - It's so exciting, starting your family!
I am OBSESSED with the name Beck. It's on my baby name list, and should we ever have a boy, I might just have to make a deal with my hubby (cuz it's not his fav). however, the name he loves IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, is Rock. Yep. Mmm hmm, as in PEBBLE. Yikes.
