One of those CRAZY people who run in the dead of winter. You know those people you shake you head at as you drive by in the warmth of your car. As most of you know, I LOVE running, but when the temperature outside falls below, um say, 50 degrees outside, its to the treadmill I go. It seems impossible to be able to get enough oxygen to my body when my lungs are frozen.
Today, however, was DIFFERENT.
Yes, it was still freezing, but it was INVIGORATING.
There were a couple other things that were different about this run:
- Travis was the one who invited ME to go running with HIM
(this is the same Travis that absolutely LOATHED running before I came along)
- I ran without my IPOD
(shocking, I know . But this also felt good to hear nothing but my labored breathing and my feet pounding the sidwalk)
- And last, but not least, Travis kicked my butt on this run
(nothing more can be said)

Very impressive! Wow, I can't believe what you've changed my older brother into. I think he might becoming more of a gym rat than you! ;)
As for me, I can't run with an iPod. I like to hear the sound of my feet and hearing my breath. I tried to go running outside today, and the dang Logan winter got to me instead! Everywhere had snow! So...to the treadmill I went! :)
Nice legs Trav!
Welcome to that world. :) You are awesome - good work! It can be so refreshing to run without an iPod!
Although I think you're somewhat crazy because the air quality is not healthy right now--I also would have gone if Clay was the one to invite me! Did Cooper go? You are a running queen!
I hate you for 3 reasons. 1-you run; 2-you run outside during winter when I am probably curled in bed eating ice cream; and 3-you run with NO EXCUSES. I hate you. Be lazy with me...very fun.
Props to you. I wish that I loved running more than a couple of miles, and that I could run in the dead of winter. Awesome and inspiring.
You crazy nut!!! It is inside the warm gym every morning for me. But, hats off to you!
You are inspiring. Running in under 50 degrees is a big no for me, but I really am getting sick of the treadmill. Maybe its time for me to do an outdoor run...
