Wrap up of the past few weeks

I've been a blog slacker and its time to play catch up. Here's what we've been up to lately...except I don't have any Christmas pictures :( Boo to me, but know that it was wonderful, full of all the things you've already read on 20 peoples blogs: food, family, fun, and presents! The only thing I regret is that I feel like I let myself get too caught up in the crazy, business of the season, and didn't focus as much as I would have liked on Christ. Good thing its New Years Resolution Time right?!

Our Rockin New Years Eve
We spent New Years at the Johnsons along with the Andersons and Browns. When we all get together its always a good time. We had a delicious fondue dinner and played Rock Band 2 all night. It was a blast!

I had to have proof of this momentous occasion...Kendall has always been scared of Travis, I dont' know why because she is always very interested and aware of what he's doing, but she used to cry when he would attempt to hold her. On New Years however, she cuddled right up to him and sat on his lap while the girls rocked it out. It was adorable!
Here are the boys doing their thing!

Even Skylar showcased her talents and provided us with the vocals for a couple songs!

Kendall and Kristin dancing to the music

Christmas Eve Sledding
Christmas Eve morning we headed up to Park City and went sledding at Gorgoza Park with my family. We had a great time...I mean they tow you up the mountain each time, how could you not enjoy yourself?
We all made a train most of the times we went down to try and increase our speed

The boys took advantage of the tow process and threw snowballs at everyone. It only took me going up once and I convienently placed myself away from them the rest of the day. I thought this was a great action shot of Trav.

All the fam, minus Derek who couldn't come because of his shoulder surgery :(

Trav in his snow getup before we left...I thought he looked hot, so I made him pose for a pic :)

Happy Birthday Chance and Logan
The twin's turned one on Christmas Day! We celebrated their birthday early with a pizza party and then watched them dig into their cakes...well Chance dug in, apparently Logan is too much of a little princess :) Riss has been in town with them since Thanksgiving and it was great to spend
so much time with them! They are too cute and I love seeing their little personalities!

Chance with his baseball cake

Logan cheesing it up...from the looks of her cake one would think that she got into it, but no...that was a few of us trying to show her how it was done :)

Happy Birthday guys!
Mr. Chance...isn't he the cutest? He smiles like that all day long!

And our Logan...she is so fun, with quite the little attitude!

Friends Christmas Party
We got together with our friends for a little Christmas party. We ate (of course) and exchanged white elephant gifts. I think mine and Paul's tied for first place...hehe :)
Matt and Maryann
*** The rest of the pics from our shindig are further down, stupid blogger...

Play with Mom, Ali, and Grandma
My grandma took my mom, Ali and I to a play at the U. My grandma is an avid play-goer and occasionaly invites us to go along. I'll admit...I was not happy about going to this one, but it ended up being a very enjoyable afternoon!

Rest of Friends Christmas Party...

Kendall (Tonii and Paul's daughter)...I absolutely love this girl! Don't you just want to eat her up??
Nate and Kristin

My hubby...obviously the party was a little too exciting for him :)

Last, but not least-
Cooper's accomplishments
Cooper is finally getting out of his puppy stage and is so much better behaved! Call me a fair weather pet lover, but I love this dog so much more lately! I've always liked him, but now that he doesn't drive me nuts, he is so much more fun! We decided to try and lock him in our kitchen with a baby gate while we were gone during the day because I had been feeling so bad about keeping him in his kennel all the time....he did really well for awhile, but I knew it was only a matter of time until he jumped it (he can easily jump twice the height of the gate). The first picture below is right before he figured out how :) I shouldn't have stopped to take the picture! We then decided that if we put two chairs behind the gait that should fix the problem....wrong, jumped over those too, through the 5 inch space between the chairs! Travis then put a box on the chairs to fill in the space....when I got home that day, guess who was waiting for me at the door with his tail wagging?? The gate was down, the chairs pushed around, and the box on the ground. So we gave in, and now Cooper has full reign of the house (except we close all the doors in the basement) all day long! He's done so good...hasn't gone to the bathroom in the house, and hasn't destroyed anything either! AND feel better because he's not cooped up in his kennel all day. Happy day.
Another big step is that he's now sleeping in a doggy bed in our room instead of his kennel. I was a little nervous about this because I really didn't want him waking us up during the night, but he's surprised me and has done excellent with this change as well...minus the fact that he still tries to jump on our bed at night at least twice everynight! I'm trying to hold my ground with that one :) These two accomplishments have made the biggest difference with him! He is much more calm and happy now that he isn't in his kennel all the time! He's such a cute puppy and such a fun addition to our lives!

I'm glad to know there is hope for puppies. Maizey is adorable, but her puppy habits (jumping, biting, etc) are getting old. She went in her crate own her own to take a nap today for the first time ever - hooray! We just got a baby gate too but she still acts like she is in her crate - just sits there looking sad, despite the extra space. I can't wait until we can let her roam instead of being cooped up. Good work with Cooper!
