Last week when I passed the halfway point in this pregnancy, I couldn't believe that I was already halfway! It went by so fast. I was thrilled to already have half behind me, but at the same time started to get a little nervous thinking that the last half was going to go as fast as the first. There is so much to do, mentally and physically, before our little guy arrives, I was grateful to have 20 weeks still left.
However, yesterday I went to visit my friend Tonii's brand new baby boy and everything changed. I've held a million newborns before, but this one felt so different knowing that I have the same life, just on a smaller scale, inside of me. I looked at his adorable, perfect little face and realized that in 20 weeks I was going to have one of my own. One that I am going to love more than I can imagine. And suddenly, those 20 weeks seemed SO far away.

Our Christmas Present
For Christmas, Travis' parents gave us the materials and also the help to make shelves in our garage. This week we finally got them! Who ever thought I would be so excited about shelves..but I am! Our townhouse has a serious lack in storage capacity, and we have stuff stashed at both of our parents house, not to mention in various other places in our house (including the babies room). I am so excited to be able to de-junk and organize!! Thank you Turners!Poor Cooper!
Poor little Coop lost his manhood on Friday. I had no idea how bad I would feel. I know I'm extra emotional lately, but I just about cried when I dropped him off. I realized I'm going to be the kind of parent that cries harder than her child when its time for shots. He knew something was going on because the second we stepped in the doors of the clinic, he started freaking out. He survived and is doing fine now. He won't leave his stitches alone, so we were forced to put a cone on his head. Talk about humiliation.
He's too embarrassed to even look at me.

A couple weeks ago, all the Turner's took a road trip to Kansas to visit Ryan and Marissa. Talk about a long drive (it didn't help to have 2 pregos that had to stop every two hours to pee). We got to see their little town and most importantly, spend time with them and their darling kids! It was so good to see them...but I think we decided next time we'll have them meet us in Denver :)
The next few pictures are from our excursion to the Zoo. It was actually a decent Zoo...sure beat the Hogle Zoo.

Here you go...
For all of you who don't think I look pregnant...
Here's proof.
Here I am at 20 weeks. Halfway baby!! My whole torso has widened, which is probably why some people say that I haven't been showing...but trust me, he's definitely in there! I should have put up a before profile picture so that you could see the difference in my width...my little guy is spreading out, enjoying my long torso :)
I had to unbutton my pants for the first time. I think its time for me to go get a "bella band"...from what I hear, its a must have. Any other recommedations for maternity clothes?? As I've looked around, I've seen so many options....below the belly, half band, full panel...etc, etc. What are all of your preferences? Any favorite stores?

Now introducing...
BATTLE CAT TURNER
Ok, really not Battle Cat, that's just what we're going to call HIM
until we can come to an agreement on a real name.
(or maybe that's just what Travis is going to call him)
That's right,
We're having a BOY!!!
Guess my mother's intuition was wrong on this one.
But we're so excited!!
Here's his profile...
And here he is proudly showing off his manhood...
I loved being able to see our little guy...I could have watched him in there for hours. Knowing that it's a boy all of a sudden makes things seem a lot more real! I can't wait to see what he looks like...I'm hoping he gets Travis' blue eyes and dimples...that's not too much to ask right?!

There's really something in there
Last weekend....I felt the baby move for the first time! Talk about an incredible feeling. I always wondered what it would feel like to have this little human inside of you moving around. Now that I've felt it, it feels exactly like you would imagine. Little bubble like flutters. Amazing. At first I thought that maybe I was imagining movements, but my little one is quite the mover and I've felt the same little flutters over and over the past few days, so I'm pretty sure its for real. It is so reassuring and comforting to be able to feel it move...I love it! If its been a little while since I've felt anything, all I have to do is a little poking and pushing and the baby will move. Also, I'm thinking it's not such a huge fan of being squished, because I've noticed it moves the most when I am sitting at my desk hunched over. Come on, little one..things are going to get a lot more cramped, you better get used to it!
I can't believe how much love I already have for this little bebe! This truly is an amazing experience!
