Before I became a mom, I remember hearing about the montrous messes that children make and thinking "Are you really not watching your child for that long?" Stupid, naive, little me. Of course now I know it only takes seconds for messes to be made and you could never think of preventing every possible mess scenario (who knows what goes on in those little brains of theirs). This particular event happened while I was getting ready for church this week. I put on an Oceans documentary that has proved to keep this kid's attention for at least the few minutes I needed to finish my hair and make-up. I noticed I hadn't heard much noise up there and thought that maybe he had even fallen asleep. Ha. Wishful thinking mom.
I walked upstairs with 15 minutes before church was to start, which was plenty of time to put his clothes and shoes on, and drive there. Well you can imagine my surprise/horror when I saw the above scene of my living room!
I honestly was speechless. Beck looked at me and said so innocently "Do hair" as he's smearing daddy's entire jar of hair product over his hair (and whole body), his two mater trucks (he says "Do Mater's hair"), and the couch. He was so proud to be doing his own hair! I didn't even know where to start, so I grabbed my camera :)
After a good scrubbing in the bath, he was as good as new. The couch on the other hand...not so much. Google saved me though and after a several step scrubbing, our couch is good as new now too.
I know there will be many more of these moments to come. Especially with a curious, little boy. You gotta love 'em!

That picture is priceless! What a big boy! It's cute when they try to be like mom and dad but hard when nearly destroy something. Glad you were able to salvage the couch :)
Oh yes boys will be boys! Now hide your mascara, flour, sugar etc. Anything that could potentially make a huge mess! It is kinda funny though! Cute boy!
Awesome. What a classic moment! I'm sorry I am laughing hysterically. Funny how CUTE it is when it's someone else's son/couch/mess. :) Plus, it's nice to know that you fully understand the danger of 5 minute alone time.
OMG! Karlee, I am dying! Seriously, I would have killed Banks!
AHHH! I think I would freak, good job on keeping composure and being a good mom.
Oh...so now I know what you were thinking when Chance and Logan had their fun in my living room! :) hahaha! I'm glad you're couches are just great now.
