just the beginning

This is what I get for encouraging the use of a spoon!

I realized today that this is the first of many times I'm going to have to let go of my need for clean and let my boy be just that- a boy. It's not going to be easy for me. When all he wants to do is play in the mud and look for bugs, I'm just going to have to sit back and watch him explore his world.

I guess letting him go crazy with some yogurt is a baby step :)

those are some cute pictures. I had a hard time with this too but realized it's part of being a boy and they can always be hosed down:)

He totally knows he's a big boy! I love these photos. I can't believe how old he looks... he's just growing up too fast.

He is one cute MESSY boy! It is easier when ya just say "Whatever!" hahaha let the fun begin...wait until the food is on your walls and or ceiling :)

Just buy a BIG piece of plastic and put it under his high chair and the surrounding area when he eats, and let the good times roll!! He might be messy, but he's a cute messy little boy and I love him!!

Girl, you have no idea what you could be in for. At least Beck played in his and kept it contained on himself. Banks took his whole yogurt and chucked it across the kitchen last week! Right after I got done mopping the floor mind you. He throws his food on a meal -ly basis. Seriously, some days I just think, God you better give me some extra patience today or I'm going to kill him. We hate meal time at our house!

I have a hard time letting him just grab the spoon too! He is so messy... and in turn, flings food all over the clean (most of the time) kitchen! Babies are babies. They are messy. But I have a feeling boys are even worse!
