There's no turning back now...

So, its true...we're having a baby! Its still pretty crazy to me, but we're definitely excited!! As you can see from our lovely counter on the side (I'm sorry, I couldn't bring myself to put a bouncing baby one on..at least not while it still looks like a sea monkey and I'd rather not see the large amount of days I have left so big), I'm 13 weeks along, and due September 10th. September is a great time to have a birthday, but I'm not too thrilled about being massive and miserable during the hottest time of the year! Oh well..what do you do?! I've gotten quite a few questions so I'll try and answer the basics....

-Yes, this was planned...but we were surprised with how quickly it happened :)

-Yes, I have been sick. Luckily, I think its starting to fade out. I no longer feel like I could throw up at any moment and I'm getting my energy back! It feels so good!

-Do we want a boy or girl?? Honestly, I would be completely happy with either...I just want a healthy baby! (If I had to guess though...I think its a girl. But mother's intuition is always wrong on these things!) We won't find out for real what it is for another 7 weeks I think...unless I can talk Travis into going to fetal photos or something :)

-I feel like I am definitely showing...I swear this morning, it just popped out! For the past couple weeks, I have noticed a definite difference in the thickness of my stomach (mainly just at night) ..Travis thought I was crazy, but today he didn't even deny seeing a little bump. Let the fun begin...

It's still pretty surreal to me that I'm really having a baby! My Dr. did an ultrasound at my 10 week appt, and seeing the little blueberry helped the reality set in a little bit. September seems so far away, but when I think about the reality of having a baby, I'm ok with waiting til then :) So, here we go...count us among the many already introduced to the wonderful world of parenthood!

Congrats!! Such exciting news. It will be interesting to see what you have (boy or girl). All of the Turners in our family have had a boy first. Even Rissa kept the tradition! Either way, it's bound to be adorable. Travis...you needant worry...you are going to be an awesome dad! Karlee you'll be an amazing mom! I can't wait to be a great aunt!
Love you both!

I'm glad you are getting your energy back and getting over being sick! I think that you guys should wait to find out what the baby is until you have it! You can do it, it's easy :) My vote is a girl, though.

That is so great Karlee, congratulations! Our babies will be so close in age, we'll be going through the hot and huge pregnancy stage together!! :) That's so nice that you are getting past the sick stage, that part is tough. The second trimester is the best. Good luck with it all, lets keep each other posted! Can't wait to find out what you are having.

NO FRIGGING WAY ARE YOU SHOWING!! You're too tall and not far enough along. Sure, you can be like me (and mind you I am only 11 weeks) and LOOK like you are, but not be. If it's hard, it's your uterus. If it's soft, you're probably just bloated. I remember when I was pregnant with Ava and I told my mom when I was 12 weeks "I am showing" and she said "no you're not, you're just bloated" - then she proceeded to poke my tummy and prove it was just blubber. Ok, so I am probably just telling you this so I feel better about being a chunck-ard. You probably won't REALLY show until about 20 -24 weeks. That's my guess. So, enjoy wearing you're clothes...maternity clothes suck.
